Strike Date Announced: March 23, 2022!

SCTA and SEIU Local 1021 are ready to strike for our students beginning on March 23, 2022.

Educators including teachers and classified workers announced today that we are ready to strike for our Sacramento City Unified School District Students.

Every day 3,000 SCUSD students go without a substitute teacher and nearly 600 students go without any instruction due to a lack of independent study instructors.

SCTA and SEIU 1021 are committed to meeting with the District every day to come to a resolution.

A neutral fact-finder jointly agreed to by both the Sacramento City Unified District and the Sacramento City Teachers Association released his recommendation to resolve a long-standing dispute between the parties. We concur with the report and are disappointed that the district dissented. We must resolve issues in our district for our students.
