SCTA’s Response the Sac City Budget Fiasco

SHARE

David Fisher provides SCTA’s perspective on the so-called budget crisis in this Sac Bee op ed, which is now online and can be found here:  https://www.sacbee.com/opinion/op-ed/soapbox/article218303645.html.

And yesterday, we gave the District a proposal that would create $16.6 million in immediate savings:  cut the number of administrators to 2014-15 levels, and reduce top administrators pay beginning with Superintendent Jorge Aguilar.  We have proposed that his pay match the Governor of California.  You can view our proposal here:  Budget Fiasco Proposal 9-13-18.

Aguilar is currently paid 61% higher than Jerry Brown.

Since the District is also soliciting community feedback, we have asked the District to post our proposal on the District website which provides updates to the Budget Fiasco.

The District has not yet responded to our proposal, or even our request to have it posted.
