Teachers Ask Sac City to Postpone 2019-20 Calendar Changes

“With the District on the brink of fiscal insolvency, maybe its primary focus should be on fixing the budget fiasco before initiating another big change that hasn’t received the necessary input” said David Fisher, a second-grade teacher and the president of the Sacramento City Teachers Association and parent of two students in the District. “Whether someone supports or opposes the change, there should be universal agreement that the voices of educators, students and parents matter.”
