Sac Teachers to Participate in Biggest National Education Action in History

Sac City Teachers will be educator activists in more than 200 school district in more than 2000 schools across the country.  Over 100,000 educators are expected to participate.

Here in Sacramento, SCTA members will be highlighting the need to ensure school funding through the passage of Proposition 55

and a local ballot initiative, Measure G.  With the District in the best financial position in its history, SCTA members will also be educating parents and the community that now is the time to Make Sac City THE Destination School District for California, through lower class sizes, a renewed commitment to the arts, early academic intervention and recruiting and retaining staff who reflect the diversity of our students.
