District Bargaining Team Takes Extended Holiday
We had hoped that going into our winter break we could report bargaining progress.
Not yet.
On December 12, we made a full economic proposal to the District.
On December 14, the District cancelled bargaining.
On December 19, the District still was unprepared claiming they needed direction from the Board of Education. There are proposals that we made on the first day of bargaining–October 11–that the District still has not responded to.
On December 21, bargaining ended early due to numerous mistakes in the District’s proposal on transfers. The District still offered no responses on economics.
We proposed meeting every available day in January in an effort to bring these negotiations to a close. We offered 16 days in January. The District agreed to only two, the first being January 24th.
