Rebuild McKinley “Run for the Playground”

Rebuild McKinley “Run for the Playground”, a benefit 5k Run/Walk and Kids’ 1/2 mile Fun Run will take place on September 8 with the start line at the McKinley Park Playground and wind through the scenic McKinley Park neighborhood with final half mile in McKinley Park (see course map). Race Day Registration will take place from 7:00 a.m. to 8:15 a.m. The Kids’ 1/2 mile Fun Run will take place at 8:15 a.m. and the 5k Run/Walk will begin at 8:30 a.m. See flyer/reg form for details. Local parents have taken the initiative to organize a rally to protest cuts in the education budget. We are asking members to join this effort and show up before the next school board meeting on Thursday 2/16/2012. We will gather on the public area on the sidewalk along 47th Avenue starting at 5:30 pm. For more information about the rally can be found here:
