SCTA’s David Fisher Honored as National Home Visit Hero for 2016

Congratulations to our own David Fisher who was honored  at the Parent Teacher Home Visit National Gathering this past week in Washington D.C.  The brief biography of David, offered in the conference booklet, explains succinctly why David was honored:  ” . . . Mr Fisher was one of the first teacher at one of the first school, CB Wire Elementary, to embrace home visits and conduct home visits in our relational model.  He was a founder in the truest sense, because he believed in the potential of this project when very few had the vision to see beyond the painful status quo of distrust and blame between the school and the community.”
