We are hearing from priority school sites that some administrators at the direction of Superintendent Raymond are spreading misinformation to 1st and 2nd year probationary members about tonight’s board meeting.  It has been reported that they are being told they have to come to save their jobs.  Some have been told that if the board does not reject the ALJ’s decision they will be “out on the street”.  THIS IS NOT TRUE!  To be laid-off this May the District would have to have noticed you by March 15th.

TONIGHT’S MEETING IS ABOUT BRINGING BACK LAID-OFF TEACHERS!  IT WILL NOT CAUSE TEACHERS WHO WERE NOT  PINK SLIPPED TO LOSE THEIR JOBS!  IF YOU CHOOSE TO COME TO THE BOARD MEETING,  PLEASE COME AND SUPPORT YOUR FELLOW TEACHERS GETTING THEIR JOBS BACK.  DON’T BE THREATENED INTO SUPPORTING THE SUPERINTENDENT’S ATTEMPT TO DIVIDE TEACHERS.  SCTA’S GOAL IS FOR ALL OUR MEMBERS TO KEEP THEIR JOBS.
