This is the last week you have the opportunity to sign up for Disability and Life Insurance through CTA approved “The Standard”. In the State of California a teacher gets 100 days of disability and after that, nothing. The Standard not only boosts your pay during those 100 days, but will also continue to pay you for up to two years. I cannot stress enough how important it is to have at least the Disability insurance. I’ve seen too many cases here at the Union where teachers have come in with a serious illness and had no disability.
• Please, please consider purchasing this for your own protection and peace of mind. Contact your Rep or SCTA by Friday to get this important coverage
• Don’t forget that this week is voting for SCTA positions. All ballots must be in to the SCTA by this Friday, March 30 at 5:00.
